An adaptive re-creation of the façade of the 19th century L. Frank Saddlery Building, which originally occupied the site, the Hotel features 98 luxurious guest rooms and suites ranging from 425 to 600-square feet, each featuring soaring 12-foot ceilings, expansive windows, marble baths, separate shower/tub enclosures, Jacuzzi baths and stylish steel four poster beds.
Historic photographs, hand-cut metal artifacts, specially commissioned artworks by renowned Texas and California artists, along with custom-made furnishings decorate the hotel. High ceilings and large windows allow in natural light during the day and the twinkling lights of the River Walk in the evening.
The stylish four poster beds dressed with Egyptian cotton sheets are made even more romantic by diaphanous drapery behind the upholstered headboard that give the room a cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail is superb and shows in the ample leather-topped desk that is perfect for in-room dining or as a work surface, and the deep club chairs paired with a suede ottoman.
Award-Winning Spa
A luxurious, 17,000-square-foot, European-style Mobil Four Star spa encompasses the second floor of the Watermark. Nineteen sumptuous treatment rooms, four spa suites, his and her changing areas, serene relaxation lounges, Vichy shower, hydrotherapy tubs and a full-service hair and nail salon are just a sampling of the services. Private label products, using ingredients indigenous to Texas and San Antonio, include shampoo, conditioner, bath soaps and body treatments. Spa services, for both men and women, include facials, massages, aromatherapy, reflexology, shiatsu, body wraps, manicures, pedicures and a range of spa therapy that leave one refreshed and relaxed.
